Baked With Love

Welcome to Tickled Fancies, where passion and creativity blend to create delectable works of edible art. With a lifelong love for baking, I've been crafting mouthwatering cakes since the 1970s when I first delighted my nieces and nephews with my sweet creations. In 2019, after 38 dedicated years of service to the Local Authority, I bid farewell to my career and embarked on a new journey.
Retirement granted me the opportunity to transform my beloved pastime into a thriving business, and thus Tickled Fancies came to life. With the necessary qualifications in hand, including a Level 2 Food Hygiene certification, I registered with the Local Authority in October 2019, ready to share my passion with the world. The initial stages were promising until the unexpected arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuing lockdown in March 2020.
Amidst the challenges of lockdown, I seized the chance to invest in tutorials that had long captivated my interest, focusing on the art of creating luscious cupcake bouquets. Hours of dedicated practice honed my skills until I achieved a level of mastery that I was proud to showcase. In June 2020, I shared my first creation on social media, and the overwhelming response confirmed that I was onto something truly special. Orders started flooding in, and the journey of Tickled Fancies took flight.
My passion lies in baking fresh, preservative-free cupcakes that I would happily offer to my own family. Each cupcake receives the utmost care and attention before being transformed into a stunning bouquet. The result? Edible masterpieces that have been described as works of art.
